SAN MARCOS, Texas — CEO Magazine has again ranked Texas State University's McCoy College of Business master of business administration (MBA) degree in Tier One of its 2026 Global MBA Rankings.

Tier One is CEO Magazine's highest ranking category for MBA programs. This year marks the third consecutive Tier One Global MBA recognition for McCoy College.

Additionally, the publication ranked McCoy College’s Online MBA program at #48 in the U.S., and #70 worldwide. The program placed third among Texas universities.

McCoy College offers several MBA program options. The Flex MBA is customizable, allowing students to attend either full-time or part-time, with the ability to change as needs evolve. This program also offers optional concentrations. The Cohort MBA is a full-time program in which students can complete their degree in just 16 months. The college also offers an Online MBA with concentrations, as well as a dual-degree program combining the MBA and the master of health administration, or MHA-MBA.

“CEO Magazine evaluates programs on the criteria that define real-world value — faculty excellence, flexible delivery, and career outcomes,” said Sanjay Ramchander, dean of the McCoy College of Business. “Three consecutive Tier One recognitions, and a top-50 U.S. ranking for McCoy College’s Online MBA — in its first full year — signal an unmistakable trajectory.”

He continued: “We built the Online MBA program to bring McCoy College-quality education to students wherever they are — same faculty, same rigor, same outcomes. That it earned global recognition within a year tells you something about this college, and about what comes next.”

CEO Magazine's rankings are designed as guides for career professionals and prospective students in evaluating MBA programs around the world.

The magazine’s website states: “CEO Magazine’s MBA Rankings serve as a guide to this landscape, assessing business schools across the dimensions that matter most to discerning applicants: quality of faculty, learning environment, modality and flexibility of delivery, tuition fees, class size, international diversity, gender parity, career outcomes, and more.”

CEO Magazine uses a ranking system entirely geared and weighted to fact-based criteria, aiming to provide a performance benchmark for those schools under review.
