In this role, Dr. Davis will provide leadership and direction for all matters related to faculty development, including the establishing of programs and policies that support a robust intellectual life for McCoy College's community, as well as enhancing the quality and impact of the scholarship of research faculty.

In his previous role as assistant chair in the Department of Management, Dr. Davis was a strategic and thoughtful leader, working to ensure faculty are positioned to pursue their passions and achieve excellence in their careers at Texas State.

"In building strong collaborative relationships, Phil has earned the confidence of his colleagues and I believe these same qualities will enable his success in this leadership role representing all McCoy College faculty," said Dr. Sanjay Ramchander, Dean of the McCoy College of Business.
