Mabel Mba

Mabel Mba is a media strategist, educator, and storyteller who is passionate about crafting meaningful narratives that inspire action.

Mabel currently serves as the Social Media Coordinator for the McCoy College of Business at Texas State University, where she leads the creation and management of content across the college’s official platforms. Through creative storytelling and digital strategy, she helps highlight the voices, achievements, and initiatives that define the McCoy College experience.

With a background in mass communication and a specialization in public relations, Mabel brings a strong mix of academic excellence and hands-on experience. As a graduate instructor assistant, she has taught and supported PR and media communication courses, mentored students, and leveraged tools such as Canva, WordPress, Figma, and Google Suite to enhance classroom engagement.

Beyond campus, Mabel was part of the elite 26-member Student Content Crew for SXSW 2025, capturing and producing content from keynote sessions (including Michelle Obama’s session) for SXSW’s social platforms. Before moving to the U.S., she held leadership roles in education and communications in Nigeria, growing school enrollment by 41%, managing corporate communications, and mentoring students to national recognition in writing competitions.

Whether she is designing a website, developing a campaign, or leading a workshop, her goal is always the same: to inform, connect, and empower through clear, impactful communication. ✯
