McCoy College of Business Alumni Updates

  • Tiara Allen
    BBA in Marketing 2022

    Tiara Allen has worked at the Pflugerville (Texas) Public Library as the Marketing and Outreach Coordinator, spearheading social media and outreach campaign, since early 2023. She recently learned that a social media campaign that she spearheaded to promote Blue Career, a new electronic resource, won The Branding Iron award, issued by the Texas Library Association for marketing and PR campaigns for Texas-based libraries. Additionally, the campaign won the Public Library Digital Marketing category. Tiara was selected as a member of the Emerging Leaders cohort through the American Library Association (ALA). Each year, around 50 early career library professionals from across the United States and Canada are selected to work closely with ALA’s internal roundtables to learn more about the organization. This year, she attended the LibLearnX conference in Phoenix, Arizona, to kick off the event, and she will attend the ALA Conference in Philadelphia to present a poster of their work.

  • Michele De La Rosa
    BBA in Accounting 1996

    This year Michele De La Rosa celebrated her 30th anniversary of work at JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. She started as a part-time teller while finishing her degree at Texas State. After graduation, she began her career in the Trust & Estate Practice as a Trust Tax Accountant. She spent 15 years in that role, becoming a subject matter expert in the fiduciary tax area. She then became an Estate Officer working with clients who passed away that named J.P. Morgan as executor or successor trustee of their estate. Outside of J.P. Morgan, Michele spends time with her son, his fiancée, and two grandchildren — with a third on the way.
