International Trip
Master of Business Administration
The Master of Business Administration (MBA) program includes a project-centered international trip, which is required for cohort MBA students and optional for flex MBA students.
At the beginning of their final semester, MBA students begin work on a project in the MGT 5313 class in collaboration with an international host company. Approximately halfway through the semester, the students travel to the host company's country. Historically, the companies we work with are in South America. Working in-country provides MBA students with a unique perspective and meaningful international business experience.
This is a relatively short trip, usually spanning 8-9 days. Trip details are announced one semester in advance and allow plenty of time for planning and logistics. Students are encouraged to apply for and secure a passport if they do not already have one, and international students should start the visa application process as soon as the trip location is announced.
