Faculty Nomination for Hooding

During the ceremony, a faculty member places the hood over the head of the graduate, signifying their success in completing the program. Students may nominate a McCoy College faculty member who has had a positive impact during their time in the program.

Please nominate two faculty below, our team will coordinate with faculty (in order of preference) for availability.

Personal Statements

Three statements will be announced as you walk across the stage and are hooded. All three statements are required and should be submitted in third person full sentences.

This is an opportunity to show your personality and (appropriate) humor if you'd like.

If you would like a second card in your native language for family and friends, please include a translation of your three statements as well.

Below are some common topics students include:

  • Highlighting accomplishments achieved during your time in graduate school (scholarships, competitions, other awards)
  • Career goals you plan to pursue or new jobs
  • Thanking friends and family for their support (only if you are not participating in the student video, since this is included there)
  • What you'll do after graduation
  • All items are subject to editing for content or length.
Example: Kate was awarded the McCoy College Fellowship during her time in the MBA program.
Example: Ana is grateful to her family for their support over the last two years!
Examples: Wendi is looking forward to starting her full-time position with PwC in the fall!
