PURPOSE

The purpose of this policy is to ensure that all activities in the McCoy College comply with all Federal and State laws governing discriminatory practices and to conform to University and Academic Affairs policies governing discrimination, faculty and student diversity and inclusion, and the promotion of multiculturalism.

GENERAL INFORMATION

1. The College does not discriminate or tolerate discrimination in any form with regard to faculty hiring, retention, tenure or promotion and the recruitment, selection, and training of students, and in all programs or activities sponsored by, or affiliated with, the College. In general, all academic departments, committees, or student organizations affiliated with the College will conform to the following Policy Statement: No person shall be subject to discrimination or exclusion from any College-sponsored program or activity on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability, veterans’ status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. 

2. The College embraces its responsibility to seek diversity, to promote inclusion, to instill a global perspective, and to nurture sensitivity, dialogue, and mutual respect among its students, faculty, and staff.
