Minor in Economics
McCoy College offers a minor in economics. Application to the college is not required to declare an economics minor. Advising for minors is done by the advisor of the student's declared major.
Requirements of the Economics Minor
Minimum of 18 semester hours including:
ECO 2314: Principles of Microeconomics
ECO 2315: Principles of Macroeconomics
Must also choose at least FOUR advanced ECO courses (3000/4000 level; 12 hours):
To enroll in upper division (3000+ level courses) you must have completed 60 hours and be in good academic standing (Texas State GPA of 2.0 or higher). Students must meet all prerequisites and declare the minor with their major advisor in order to enroll in upper-division courses.
